This dynamic
four week introduction course is aimed at the adult student who is
curious about what it takes to get started in Film and TV and learn
skills to impress and secure an agent. With information overload, you
will leave this course with an understanding of what the industry holds
(all or nothing) when it comes to perusing the craft of acting. The
basics of the business will be covered, with an introduction to
improvisation for commercials, audition and interview skills,
script reading for Film and TV,
A chance to
work with one of the industry’s best. Introduction to Film and TV run
four consecutive Mondays.

Jacqui Kaese
is back, coaching, motivating kids on a voyage of self discovery gently
pushing them to their full potential. Using skills in performing arts,
Jacqui teaches improv to encourage kids to think quickly and communicate
effectively. Theatre games to extend understanding when working as a
team or as an individual, script work for film and TV to gain self
esteem and confidence in front of the camera.

Jacqui has forged a foundation of opportunity for the youth of Nanaimo
in the epicentre of a global industry. In her 15th year of coaching film
and TV, her students have worked alongside some of the biggest names in
Hollywood. The region benefits from her ceaseless passion to making a
difference in Nanaimo. Winner of The Sterling Award for business
excellence in 2006 she prides herself on being able to motivate and push
students to their full potential. Jacqui has a proven track record,
recognised and respected by top industry professionals.
