Dad, Mom, Have you been paying for Music Lessons and wondering what the next step is? Or do you have kids who want to learn how to be in a band? Headliner’s has the answer. For your kids the program is STEP ON STAGE. This 12 week entry level program is designed to help build confidence in young performers on the stage and in themselves. Our objective is to help musicians learn how to work together, hone new skills, perform live, learn musicianship and how to be in a band. This unique opportunity is a great way to gain experience, meet other performers & make new connections. We do require that auditioning students have at least minimal experience, (private lessons, self taught or High School Band etc.) All genres’ welcome, beginner to advanced. Students have the option to study a variety of instruments if they choose. Introduction to the Stage class bundles include your choice of Drums, Bass, Vocals, Keys, Guitar & Stage Tech. Weekly lessons will be held in an interactive workshop style setting. One Field of Study (Band Rehearsal 1.5hr + 1hr Lesson) $695 Two Fields of Study (Band Rehearsal 1.5hr + 2hr weekly) $795 Three Fields of Study (Band Rehearsal 1.5hr + 3hr weekly) $855 Four Fields of Study (Band Rehearsal 1.5hr + 4hr weekly) $895 *Tuition costs are per registrant.
SIDEWALK ALL-STARS BAND TWEEK! This 12 week program is for young musicians who have found a dynamic set/group of friends or players who want to perform together. This opportunity is great for bands who are just starting out or groups who want to tighten up and take it to the next level. Our experienced and knowledgeable instructors will help each band find its own unique style and sound. We encourage duo’s, trio’s or full piece bands to join us. This program will prepare players to perform live and hit the stage. This band experience focuses on performance and technical aspects. All genres’ welcome. Age: 26 Max Bands Will: 1. Audition/register as a BAND. 2-6 players max. Performers will register with a band name and genre(s) of interest. 2. You will perform LIVE two times for family and friends at HEADLINERS or other performance venues. (final gigs may fall outside program duration) 3. Performers will have the option to either study/focus on: a) Stage Tech & Gear Maintenance, Stage presence, song writing, arranging & warm ups. b) or participate in ONE weekly instrument class. (also see program up grade below.) 4. You will pick and/or write all of your own material. 5. Receive 1.5hr of Stage/Rehearsal time with a professional musician/band leader for 12 weeks. Attention Young Musicians ROCK ON - BAND BEGINNERS Introduction to Musical Instruments 10 WEEKS - AGES 9-12 ONLY 12 SPACES AVAILABLE - Tuesday 4-5:30pm This Music discovery class is for young people who have the desire to discover and get introduced to musical instruments in a performance/band style venue. This program is designed to give young performers the opportunity to learn, play and perform with others. Performers will learn different styles of music, beat, rhythms, grooves and tempos. Discover Bass, Drums, Guitar, Vocals, and Keys/piano. Students will be placed in a jam band. Dust off that old instrument and join us. Musical Form, the rehearsal process, song mapping and more will be taught. Adult Rock school is a great way to meet others who want to play music with others in a performance style setting. Players will rehearse for two hours a week with an option for private lessons. OBJECTIVE: Performers will work towards a final performance at the end of the 10 weeks at Headliners for family & friends. Excepted Instruments: Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keys, Harp & Vocals welcome. THE ART OF JAMMING - 10 WEEKS - Recommended for ages 25+ ONLY 12 SPACES AVAILABLE - Wednesday Evenings (Times TBA - please call for details) This program is for aspiring or current musicians who want to meet and jam with other players in a casual comfortable & low pressure setting. Weekly jammers will have the opportunity to work through cover or original material in a structured jam with a qualified rehearsal instructor. Weekly the instructor will teach reading tablature (tab), basic chords and key changes allowing performers to succeed with the jamming process. The content played in this program will be based on performer dynamics and what the players would like to challenge. OBJECTIVE: To give players confidence and experience playing with other musicians in a relaxed, safe environment. Please bring an open mind and have fun.
